Role in Story: Cheats on her husband Eric with Joshua Tyrell Henson, her so-called “work husband”. After the separation, the two form a relationship where she’s put into a three-way position between Eric and Joshua.

Goal: To be happy by any means necessary, no matter whom it may hurt.

Physical Description: 5’8” 200 pounds. She has large breasts, a wide butt, with long hair she spends hours at the salon on. She has an almond skin tone with big, toned legs. Her curvaceous body fills out her clothes.

Personality: She’s a loving person who wants to live life on her terms. She doesn’t care whom she hurts because life is all about her. She does love her husband but doesn’t know if she’s really in love with him. She sees him as the “safe option” at the time. She does fall in love with Joshua and has a lustful affair with him. She does love her children and is quite selfish with them when it comes to her husband. She rarely listens to advice she disagrees with. She also loves to go clubbing.

Occupation: CNA at DePaul Hospital Intensive Care Unit

Habits/Mannerisms: She’s overly flirty and overly playful. She’s serious when it only comes to work and the kids. She’s argumentative with her husband and sometimes her sister. She does what she wants, whenever and no matter the cost. That shows in her finances, choices, and, often, her current attitude.

Background: She grew up with a single mother and two sisters, and her older sister ran the household more. Mom was always out chasing after men to date. She was determined to get the children a father. In the meantime, the older sister worked and went to school while caring for Shavon and her youngest sister, eventually getting certified as a physical therapy assistant.

Internal Conflicts: She struggles between two men. She has issues paying bills and has trouble listening to her husband, but she listens to everyone else.

External Conflicts: Trying to find happiness on her terms, whether right or wrong.

Eric Styles

Role in Story: Main Character

Goal: (Original Goal) To be happily married, raise his children, and have a happy marriage. (New Goal) to find closure after being cheated on by his wife with her “work husband”.

Physical Description: 5’9”, 162-pound black man with a short buzz haircut and glasses. He’s medium brown-skinned and wears black-rimmed prescription glasses. He loves dressing up and loves wearing Jordans.

Personality: Passive (until not); loving until he’s hurt. He’s a passionate lover for the woman he’s with. He’s a great father and a loyal friend. He’s brilliant when it comes to numbers and paying bills. He loves playing video games, darts, and party games. He doesn’t do a lot of clubbing, even though his wife does. He goes to support his wife.
Occupation: Director Of The St. Louis Public Library

Habits/Mannerisms: Eric likes to keep the peace and avoids conflict unless there’s one he can’t avoid. He has high blood pressure due to the stress of arguing with his wife while taking care of the kid. He was never jealous until his wife gave him a reason to.

Background: He grew up with two educated parents, a father who’s a police captain in homicide (retired) and a mother who’s a school teacher. He grew up doing the right thing with no criminal record. He had a normal childhood and never took any real risks.

Internal Conflicts: He can hold things in until they come out in a loud outburst to the point where he’s another person.

External Conflicts: Dealing with his wife’s infidelity and dismissal of his feelings. Then, dealing with the aftermath of their relationship after she’s caught with the co-worker.
